Have you ever become hooked on a television series? What kept you coming back? What was so important about this program that you were upset if you did not see it.? Read on.

I have become hooked on a few television shows on television. I had to find like everybody else something else to watch while the professionals and the writers were at war.

I started watching America’s Next Top Model. I watched for hours one hour segment after another until the final episode where the best girl won the title, money and a career.

During the watching of this television series I loved the way the girls were trained in modeling and public speaking. I watched the exotic elaborate hair art, and the creative makeup which was drawn on their faces. I learned along with millions of other people how hard it is to model. It is not just smiling and presto you are on the cover of all the big magazines.

Another thing about the television show which really amazed me is that so many of the girls had such low self-esteem. Many were sent home because they could not crawl out from under this dilemma. One girl went so far to explain to, Tyra Banks, the host of the show how she use to hear her parents tell her what a loser she was and will always be. This girl eventually went home even though she was a good candidate towards winner.

Mental abuse is sometimes worse than physical abuse. Mental abuse stays with you every waking minute. It is something which is hard to reverse once it takes root into the brain. Many times this takes root in childhood and your self-esteem is crushed before it is ever able to take root.

I am sure when Tyra Banks started this fantastic, memorizing program, she did not realize she would have this problem with so many of the girls.
